Welcome to Cape Elizabeth
Enchantingly rimmed by craggy shores and sandy beaches, Cape Elizabeth marks the entrance to the spectacular Casco Bay.
An affluent seaside town with a non-commercial feel, Cape Elizabeth is just a short commute to Portland and its urban amenities.
In Cape proper, you’ll find a cafe, small supermarket, gourmet wine and cheese shop, and landmark restaurants like the lobster shack, where diners enjoy local seafood at picnic tables overlooking the ocean. Miles of hiking and biking trails are available to outdoor enthusiasts and on the first weekend in August, the iconic Beach to Beacon 10k gives local weekend warriors the chance to compete with elite international runners. The course leads athletes from the crescent beach along the coastline and to the finish at Fort Williams state park.
