The area embracing North Yarmouth was first settled in 1636 and is a town rich with historical roots. It has a small-town feel with a thriving small business community, and outdoor attractions like parks, hiking trails, restaurants, a golf course, Christmas tree farms, orchards, greenhouses, and a garden center with a MOFGA-certified organic farm located on the Skyline Farm property.

Toots Ice Cream is a North Yarmouth staple, serving homemade ice cream to residents and tourists alike, using the finest and freshest ingredients possible.  

 

The Purple House, a wood-fired bakery and restaurant, will tempt your taste buds, both sweet and savory. 

 

Trudy Bird Brewing Company, based in the old Stones Cafe building is set to open in the Summer of 2022 and will feature a brewery and tasting room. 

 

The Cafe at Toddy Brook Golf Course is open to the public for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers a casual, friendly atmosphere with views of the golf course.

 

THINGS TO DO

Toddy Brook Golf Course is one of the top courses in the state. This par 71 course includes five sets of tees, swift elevation changes with rolling hills as the backdrop, and plenty of watering holes surrounded by lush greenery.

 

Skyline Farms is a living carriage museum with an antique carriage & sleigh collection and features open spaces with historical buildings used for recreational and educational purposes. 

 

Those looking to do something outdoors should check out one of the many trails in the Sam Ristich Trail System, perfect for nature-lovers of all skill levels.

 

If you’re in the mood for live music, put the Summer Concerts on the Village Green on your schedule! Guests are welcome to bring a picnic meal or a potluck dish for the community — there’s also an open barbeque available for grilling with the neighbors.

North Yarmouth residents attend school in the MSAD #51 public school system. Schools in this district serve students from grades K-12 in Cumberland and North Yarmouth. These three schools are highly-ranked, with Greely High School ranked as the #1 Best High School in Maine for three consecutive years.
