The Saltwater Grille offers South Portland’s premier waterfront dining experience. Enjoy the view of Casco Bay from your seat, all while munching on delicious seafood.

David's 388 is the sister restaurant of David’s and offers friendly service with a consistent menu rooted in traditional fare. Think seafood taken to new creative heights!

Craving something sweet? Scratch Baking Co. is where to go, serving up sweets, bagels, and bread for the entire community.

And if you’re looking for something cold and refreshing, especially in the summertime, you can venture to Willard Scoops or Red’s Dairy Barn, both places serving up freshly made ice cream.

No trip to Maine is complete without a visit to a lighthouse, so seek out the Portland Breakwater Lighthouse at Bug Light Park. Located to the east of the Greenbelt Walkway, Bug Light Park is the perfect destination for skyline views of Portland. The annual Kite Festival is also held here each year.

Also near Bug Light Park is Spring Point Shoreway Trail, which runs 1.6 miles from Fisherman’s Point to Bug Light Park. Your walk will take you back in history, seeing a fort frequently attacked during the American Civil War. To cap off your historical tour, make sure to pass by Liberty Ship Memorial, the site of significant shipbuilding activities during WWII. From 1941 to 1945, about 30,000 people worked here, building liberty ships for the New England and Portland Shipbuilding Corporations.

And after all that walking and exploring the rich history of Southern Portland, check out Willard Beach for a relaxing break!

And if that is still not enough activity, be sure to purchase tickets to a show to see the Portland Players or The Lyric Music Theater. Both offer ample opportunities for musical and stage delight.
