Welcome to Yarmouth
A beautiful seaside community with a Main Street Village, charming parkway along the royal river, and sheltered port in Yarmouth harbor.
Just 11 miles from Portland, Yarmouth features green recreational spaces, the royal river, a harbor, and an idyllic village with shopping and dining.
Its Main Street is full of history and charm. Each year the town pulls out all the stops to host the Yarmouth Clam Festival, an annual 3-day, family-friendly, summer event that promotes community and their non-profit organizations.
Royal River Park
A beautiful, paved path runs the length of the park along the river and includes views of 3 waterfalls, dam sites, and a historic mill site.
Pratt’s Brook Park
Yarmouth’s largest park has more than 220 acres of woods and over 7 miles of trails for walking or cross-country skiing.
Enjoy sweeping views of Casco Bay and the islands or spend an afternoon at one of the two tidal beaches. A bridge connects you to the mainland.
Yarmouth School system
The Yarmouth public school system consistently ranks as one of the best in Maine by the U.S. News and World Report.
North Yarmouth Academy
In addition to their award-winning public-school system, Yarmouth is also home to the North Yarmouth Academy, an independent, co-ed college preparatory day school for students from pre-school to grade 12.
